Blizzard 2010

Although we did not receive the 40 inches of snow that "they" kept talking about, we did receive about 28 inches of snow. Along with the snow we had single digit temperatures, winds of between 25 and 40 miles per hour. It was a blizzard after all! There were snow drifts, white out conditions and everything came to a screeching halt!

The kids, having watched "The Wilderness Family" recently decided to try their hand at building a snow cave as Jennie and Toby did in the movie.

Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't all fun and games in this winter wonderland, there was LOTS of snow to shovel; lots of ice to deal with and traveling has been a nightmare. On the upside, there has been lots of hot cocoa to be had, and plenty of games by the wood stove.
