Another Scrap Frenzy Complete

I’m a chronological scrapbooker, it must be the OCD.  All of my kids albums are done in order.   I spent an entire day working on covering the last years worth of photos.  I call this a scrap frenzy.  In a days time, I completed 19 12X12 layouts and one 8X8.

The 8X8 layouts are always a single photo that strikes me.  Most are of family members.   I have my own little scrapbook just for me that I keep these layouts in.

Today’s 8X8 was a layout of my Mom.  My brother has the original, color photo, but I scanned it and had it printed in black and white.   Mom’s pants, in real life were pink & white checks, she wore them a lot, they matched her pink cotton candy lipstick that she loved to wear back in the day.

Since the photo was in black and white I thought it needed some bright color.   The colors in the photo aren’t “true”.  There’s some fuchsia and red in there with the oranges.

I think it turned out lovely, so I thought I’d share it with my faithful readers.

Look at these two lovely layouts.  I completed both in less than 5 minutes and that’s without reading the tutorial!

Scrapbooking Emergency Day

I'm a chronological scrapper. I HAVE to scrap in the order that events occur, or it just bugs me. I haven't had the chance to scrap since February...so I was so.far.behind.

So yesterday I declared a Scrapping Emergency Day. There was no homeschooling, no housework (with the exception of cooking and dishes). I spent the ENTIRE day scrapping. At about midnight last night, I finished. I'm totally up to date!! I did a total of 33 layouts, 12X12 layouts. For anyone who doesn't scrapbook this may sound trivial. For those of you who DO scrap...it is a phenomenal amount!

Here are two of my favorite layouts of the day. The first recaptures the day that Olivia cut her hair...her never EVER cut hair, that was down mid thigh....there is a hidden tag under the bottom photo that has the journaling.

This one is from Olivia's birthday....she's so pretty! I need to add a couple of flowers to this to make it complete, but I ran out of flowers before I got to this one. I'll go back and add them after I hit the craft supply store.

I used two new tape runners and the classroom was a disaster area. Here is the aftermath...

So I'll finish this post, and go upload photos to be printed at Walmart....and the cycle will continue.
