Olivia’s softball team had practice scheduled today. Approximately 15 minutes into practice there was a major down pour. The college educated coach kept everyone practicing. The parents started gathering equipment.
Then there was a sudden flash of lightning and a roar of thunder. Parents and kids alike started to head for cover…and the coach says “hey guys, we’re not done here!”.
A wise 10 year old turns around and says “Dude, my bat is metal, my facemask is metal and we’re playing on a field surrounded by a metal fence….YOU do the math.”
Common sense 1, college education 0.
