Catchy title, eh? Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Spring is sneaking up on us slowly. Most (not all) of the snow has melted from our yard. Despite temperatures in the high 60's,parts of my vegetable garden are still under snow, as are parts of my tulip and gladiola garden.
The flower garden outside my kitchen window is snow free, and looked ratty. So I went out to prune all the dead stuff out. As I looked at the squashed lamb's ear, and dry crumpled mums and fever few, I couldn't help but grab the camera for this photo:
I found it comforting, to see the cross standing there in the middle of all the dead stuff, waiting for the pruning that must come before new growth takes place.
