Rembering the Day

September 11, 2001, we all know it well, too well in fact. It was a day that forever changed the United States. It was a wake up call, that many answered, but soon lost the connection. As we mark another anniversary of that day, I wonder, do "we the people of the United States of America" truly realize that we alone are not invincible? It is only because we are "one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all" that we are able to stand. Yet, at every turn we try to remove God from our very foundations.

We wantonly hand over our unborn to the butcher shops of abortion, and wonder why our young people have no respect for life? We forfeit our pulpits to perversion for the sake of not offending, and wonder why people are becoming more vile daily. We say that children can no longer pray in schools, and we wonder why those schools become slaughtering fields?

America no longer wants to be "under God". We think we're above, and beyond the need. Days like September 11, 2001 should prove to us otherwise. There are unknown numbers of stories of the people who were led of God not to go into the city, not to go into the office, not to get on the plane. Even on that terrifying day, God was still speaking to His people.

Today, while I was on the phone, my 6 year old interrupted me and said "Mom, God just gave me a Bible verse"; and she began to read.

"And He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power." Mark 9:1

His return is so close, so imminent that even little children are proclaiming it! the still small voice in every moment of your life. Listen for the trumpet that will mark his return.
