A Wedding in the Family

Sherry, my sister-in-law, remarried this weekend. It was a typical August day in Virginia. Well over 100 degrees, unbelievable humidity and an outside wedding at 2:00pm. So, it was a little bit casual, a little bit country, but a whole lot of love

Craig, Sherry's oldest son, walked her down the aisle. No, he didn't forget to take his hat off...he and his brother Sam ALWAYS wear their hats, except at the dinner table.

The wedding was lovely, it only lasted about 15 minutes, which was good considering the only canopy was over the bride, groom and pastor.

Aren't they a lovely couple?

I thought this was a nifty photo....I should have been at a better angle, but still its lovely.

Here is the whole new family. The two taller boys on the right are Sherry's boys, Sam and Craig (See I told you that Sherry's boys always wear their hats.) The three younger children are Jon's kids, Christopher (10), Naomi (7) and Tanner (5).

The wedding and reception were both held at the couples home. It was simple, everyone brought a covered dish and we had a big ole bar-b-que. The cake was oh-so-yummie!

And they all lived happily ever after!
